Forty Thieves - Solitaire Connection App Reviews

Slow

Its glacier slow on my gen 1 iPhone. So slow as almost be unusable. Dragging cards is painful. Im not sure what tech they are using, but this feels (and looks) like a web app, not a native Cocoa app. (Controls are non standard, etc.) It could have been written in Flash or something and coverted to run on iPhone. Whatever it is, it is poor. It works, but barely. If it was free it might be worth it for occasional play, but I regret paying for it. It was the only 40 Thieves I could find, though, and I love that version of solitaire. I guess Ill keep looking.

Not worth it

I love 40 thieves solitaire, but this game on my Touch, aside from being sadistically small, had an awkward interface (double tapping might turn a new card OR enlarge the screen; dragging might move a card or the whole tableau). Also buggy, where when I was positioning the tableau a face-down card mysteriously left the deck and settled on my playfield, and every new click caused a card to jump onto the facedowm card. Also, there are no options for alternative rules for play.

Slow and frustrating to use

The new game button is irritatingly close to where youd tap to flip a card.... So annoying to be playing a game thats going well and accidentally re-deal a whole new game.

Forty thieves

Very slow and jerky. Cant believe I paid for this app.

no

looks bad sceen moves when trying to make a move dont recommend

Bunk

This game does not work! The cards become hidden and do not move appropriately. Waste of money....and I love this game

TOO LITTLE

Cards are too little to see and if you enlarge them enough to see then you cant see the whole spread. Terrible app.

Forty thieves review

This game definitely is not user friendly. I agree with what others have noted. The fact that the "new game" button is so close to the flip cards means that it is easily hit by accident. I have been so close to winning when all of a sudden a new game is dealt. The game will freeze for no apparent reason. Ive had to restart my whole phone to get the game to work again. And in other games of Forty Thieves you can move 2 cards into an empty slot. Thats not the case with this version. And yes, it is ridiculously small.

Stuck

Was really enjoying the game until it got stuck dealing a new hand. Want my money back!

Poor

I love forty thieves, but so many bugs in this app. Please fix the issues or come out with a new and improved app. Frustrating!

What is a title?

Just bought it and do not like it at all!!!! Blurry letters not much to look at. Can I get money back???? PLEASE Donna

Dont like this app

Just bought it and it gets stuck and the numbers are blurry. Terrible app.

Forty Thieves

Love the game but it freezes up all the time. Have to reinstall constantly.....

Poorly designed

After playing, I am uninstalling. Wouldnt download it for free. Dont waste your money on this game

Forty thievies

At first didnt like it for my iPad .. But turned iPad sideways and all the cards are larger and I played better.

Cracking

I play this on an iPad - works great, no issues. Highly recommended.

Getting There

This is my second review. My first was not a positive one. Still I played on, hoping the game would improve. It has. If I could make a suggestion to improve the game, it would be this... Add one more option to the "New Game" button. That option should be - "Replay This Game?" There have been many times that I have thought, "If I had made a few different plays, I might have won that game." This option could also give you the chance to "Cancel and return to current game" - in case you pressed the "New Game" button accidentally.

Ok

I like the game but it freezes frequently and has to be deleted and reloaded. I play on iPad.

Nice version

Downside is location of the new game is too close to turning the card. Also wants to freeze up and need to reload.

Forty Thieves

Im not thrilled with this version of Forty Thieves, and wonder if anyone has ever won it. Only one card can be moved at a time, even if there is an empty column. When there is one empty column you should be able to move two cards, two empty columns three cards, etc. Ive played this version of the game many times and have not even come close to winning.
